Farquar Family Winery is located in Ramona – a small town tucked within the foothills of East County, San Diego. We have an olive orchard of Tuscan variety trees as well as an olive mill with which extra-virgin oil is produced. All operations are conducted in compliance with California Department of Public Health (CDPH) Food and Drug Branch (FDB) Processed Food Registration (PFR), which we renew yearly.
We employ a Toscana Enologica Mori (TEM) olive mill and washing machine. It separates leaves from olives while pumping in fresh water to remove excess dirt – this ensures the cleanest fruit possible is delivered for processing. Because our mill is “continuous action” (meaning it must only be cleaned when a day’s milling is complete), our capacity is up to 1200 lbs in one working day.
